The Penny James’s Philosophy is: Your hair is an extension of your personal style- the one accessory you wear everyday.

Penny began her career in London working for Trevor Sorbie. After mastering the Sorbie’s cutting technique, she moved to New York City and became a founding member of Frederic Fekkai making her one of the city’s most technically proficient and creative stylists. Penny has combined the best of French and English technique to create her own highly developed haircutting style.

With over 21 years of experience working with celebrities such as: Kate Hudson. Sara Jessica Parker, Lorraine Bracco, and a host of long-term clients, Penny is a leader in the hairstyling industry. She can accommodate even the busiest of schedules and frequently travels to meet her clients hairstyling needs outside of the salon.

Penny’s work can also be viewed in broadcast TV commercials for Liz Claiborne, L’Oreal and the Emmy® award winning HBO series, “The Sopranos.”
